Prince Andrew, formerly known as a member of the royal family, appears in a new photograph alongside imprisoned socialite Ghislaine Maxwell. The image captures Andrew smiling and reclining on a bench. Allegations have long surrounded Andrew, accusing him of sexually assaulting Virginia Giuffre when she was a teenager, allegedly trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein. Despite vehemently denying these claims, Andrew settled a civil sexual assault lawsuit with Giuffre in 2022.
Following a controversial Newsnight interview in 2019, Andrew stepped back from his royal duties. However, renewed attention on his ties to Epstein arose with the publication of Giuffre’s posthumous memoir and the release of documents from Epstein’s estate by the US government.
Recently, King Charles officially stripped Andrew of his HRH style, prince title, and removed his dukedom from the Roll of the Peerage due to what was described as “serious lapses” in judgment. Andrew has also been required to vacate his residence at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, relocating to a property on the King’s private Sandringham estate next year.
