Freeview has announced significant changes to its TV guide, including channel position adjustments and a rebranding. Notably, Talk (Ch 280), a British news channel known for debate and opinion-led journalism, will no longer be accessible on Freeview. Viewers seeking Talk content will now have to access it through the official Talk app or other platforms like Samsung TVs, Roku devices, and LG screens.
In addition to Talk’s closure, Freeview’s latest update reveals that Wedotv Big Stories on channel 275 will be renamed Wedotv. Furthermore, three services will be relocated on the planner. Ketchup TV, Ketchup Too, and Cartoon Classics will all be moving to new channel numbers, with Ketchup TV shifting from Ch 209 to Ch 208, Ketchup Too from Ch 210 to Ch 209, and Cartoon Classics now available on Ch 210 instead of Ch 214.
Freeview emphasized that broadcasters will be implementing changes to their channels on June 25, 2026. The platform ensures a diverse range of content for audiences by accommodating channel movements, additions, and removals.
To ensure access to the correct channels, viewers are advised to adjust their TV settings and retune their devices for the latest updates. The process involves accessing the menu on the TV remote control, selecting set-up or installation options, initiating a first-time installation or factory reset, and allowing the equipment to delete existing channels while saving the newly found ones.
