A teacher, Elias Gordon Farley, aged 26, has been arrested for allegedly grooming an underage student using a shared Google document and engaging in sexual activities with her both at school and at his residence. The victim reported the abuse on November 18, leading to Farley’s arrest on December 4. Farley, identified as a science teacher at the Donna Klein Jewish Academy in Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, Florida, has been relieved of his duties at the school.
The victim disclosed that the inappropriate interactions started as casual conversations during the previous school year but escalated during the summer. Farley purportedly initiated a shared Google Doc where explicit messages were exchanged, detailing sexual content and coordinating private meetings between them. The relationship turned physical in mid-September, with the victim alleging that Farley made unwanted advances inside his office, which continued for weeks in various locations, including a classroom.
By late September and October, the interactions reportedly involved sexual acts, including oral sex and intercourse on campus. The victim also mentioned visiting Farley’s apartment twice in early November, where multiple sexual encounters took place. During a search at Farley’s residence, authorities discovered condom wrappers and furniture matching the victim’s description. Farley’s roommate confirmed the victim’s visits, as Farley was absent during those times.
Surveillance footage from the school captured Farley and the student entering his office together on November 7 and later spending an hour in a classroom. The victim disclosed the alleged offenses to an art teacher on November 14, showing evidence of bruises and bite marks attributed to Farley. Subsequently, Farley was suspended the next day following school administration’s notification.
Currently detained at the Palm Beach County Main Detention Center, Farley faces charges of engaging in sexual activities with an underage student and is being held on a $500,000 bond.
