A mysterious woman placed a puzzling call to emergency services shortly before the tragic deaths of Monique Tepe and Spencer Tepe in their own residence.

The bodies of Monique, 39, and Spencer, 37, were found on December 30, indicating a double murder investigation with Spencer having multiple gunshot wounds and Monique shot at least once in the chest.

Concern arose when Spencer did not show up for work, prompting colleagues to visit their home where they heard the children in distress, leading to an urgent welfare check.

The young children were unharmed physically but distressed, while a mysterious phone call made months earlier from their residence in Columbus, Ohio, about a “domestic dispute” left authorities puzzled.

The call, received by a 911 operator around 2:45 am on April 15, featured a woman reporting the dispute and then abruptly hanging up, later claiming she was fine when contacted by the operator.

Despite the call being labeled as a “domestic dispute” by the dispatcher at the Columbus Emergency Communications Center, the caller insisted that the altercation was not physical and that both individuals involved did not harm each other.

Investigators have ruled out murder-suicide and found no signs of forced entry or weapons at the scene, releasing a video of a person of interest near the property. Monique’s brother expressed disbelief that the voice on the call belonged to her or anyone they knew.

The investigation continues as authorities await coroner’s reports, including toxicology results, in the murder case of the Tepe couple.
