Nicola Golen scored a crucial goal just two minutes into extra time, securing a 2-2 draw for Ottawa Rapid against AFC Toronto on Sunday at TD Place. Golen’s equalizer in the 92nd minute earned the league-leading Rapid an additional point in their standings. Melanie Forbes also contributed with a goal for Ottawa (10-2-3) in the 13th minute.

Sarah Stratigakis and Shelina Zadorsky found the net for third-place Toronto (7-4-4) in response. The match saw both teams being reduced to 10 players in the 63rd minute following red cards shown to Choo Hyojoo of the Rapid and Cloey Uddenberg of AFC Toronto.

Earlier on the same day, it was revealed that Ottawa’s TD Place will host the Northern Super League final on November 14.
