A furniture store has launched an Easter weekend sale with up to 40% off goods ahead of temporarily closing this weekend. Room Perfected in Manchester is clearing out stock before it shuts up for a short while to undergo a refurbishment.
The sale is running from this Good Friday (April 18) until Easter Monday (April 21) and includes up to 40% off coffee tables, dining chairs, rugs, mirrors and accessories. You will also find discounts on accent furniture, vases and ornaments and marble and quartz side tables.
The store offers free refreshments including fizz, beer, or soft drinks, while you shop, and sweets for kids. Mike Seddon of Room Perfected said the store is being upgraded following feedback from customers. The Room Perfected website will continue to run while the store upgrade is happening.
Mr Seddon said: “As a local shop, we always listen to what our customers need and want. The majority votes are for us to specialise in more furniture such as dining sets, sofas, beds/bedroom, garden furniture and a huge new choice of fab and funky accessories and artwork as well as a new selection of contemporary furniture.
“When the refitted showroom reopens, Room Perfected will be THE place to find quality furniture in Greater Manchester with a focus on style and design but the new aim is to offer you much more bang for your money (or buck) so you can get the designer look for a lot less £’s, with awesome daily and weekly deals for in-store customers. Our new ranges and prices will be totally irresistible so watch this space for more announcements.”
He continued: “Don’t miss your chance to GRAB gorgeous designer furniture & accessories at prices you’ll never find again, anywhere. High-end furniture at CLOSING DOWN SALE PRICES.
“All warehouse stock will be cleared at unbelievable prices over this bank holiday weekend and we advise to arrive early to find the best choice. Most items can be taken away with you or LOW-cost delivery arranged on the day.”

It comes after shoe chain A.G. Meek closed its branch in Eastgate Street, Gloucester, on April 12, after 60 years of trading. The rate of National Insurance paid by employers increases from 13.8% to 15% from April 6, while the earnings threshold was lowered from £9,100 a year to £5,000

In a post on Facebook, Mr Meek said: “I am very sad to tell you that we are closing our shoe shop after 60 years trading in Gloucester City Centre. We have been struggling with rapidly rising costs and reduced footfall since the pandemic and the shop has not been covering its costs.
“I have held off hoping things would improve, but the recent budget is a disaster for small businesses employing lots of part time staff like ours. Our national insurance on one shop and our business rates are increasing by £5000 a year each from April and this is unsustainable.”
