A series of missile and drone attacks by Russia on Ukraine’s capital and its vicinity resulted in injuries to at least 16 individuals overnight and into Thursday morning, as per local authorities. The Kyiv City Military Administration disclosed that over 10 locations were targeted in the assaults, with a 10-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy among the wounded.
Ukraine’s Air Force reported neutralizing or suppressing 131 Russian aerial targets during the nighttime offensive, concentrating on the Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa regions. The strikes occurred at 36 different spots, with debris from intercepted targets falling in five locations. The assault utilized ballistic and cruise missiles, alongside 157 drones and decoys.
Russia’s Defense Ministry announced that during the attack, military strikes were directed at metallurgical and electronics plants, military-industrial complex factories, as well as energy and transport facilities in the Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa regions. In Odesa, seven individuals, including two children, sustained injuries, with damage to apartments on the upper floors of a residential building.
Furthermore, the ministry stated that in the port of Chornomorsk, three bulk carriers and a ferry engaged in supplying the Ukrainian military were targeted. A private residential building was destroyed in Odesa, while various structures like warehouses, a kindergarten, cars, and garages suffered damage in other areas.
In Kyiv’s Dniprovsky district, warehouse, office building, residential building, and vehicle damages were reported, while the Solomyansky and Darnitsky districts also saw warehouse and vehicle damages. Additionally, in the Podilsky district, a non-residential building’s roof was damaged.
Ukraine’s State Emergency Service confirmed the injuries of seven people, including children, in Odesa, with multiple residential and commercial properties affected. Across the Kyiv region, the Obukhiv, Brovary, Fastiv, and Bucha districts experienced attacks on civilian areas and infrastructure, resulting in damage to 33 sites, with the most severe impact observed in Brovary and Fastiv districts.
The affected locations encompassed private residences, warehouses, production facilities, and vehicles. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in these incidents.
