Danny Jones and wife ‘living separate lives’ after Maura Higgins BRITs kiss scandal

Published:

McFly star Danny Jones and his wife, Georgia, are reportedly ‘living separate lives’ after the dad-of-one was caught kissing Maura Higgins at the BRIT Awards in March. The I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star sent shockwaves through the showbiz world when they locked lips at the boozy after-party in London, with married Danny, 39, facing much fury from his fans.

After a video from the BRITs of the reality stars went viral, Danny’s wife is said to have temporarily moved out of the couple’s family home.

However, she is now reportedly living with her husband again – but their relationship is allegedly strained, with a source claiming the pair are “like passing ships”.

Giving their take on what’s really going on with the couple behind closed doors, a source told the Mail: “Danny and Georgia have been trying to navigate a very difficult time in their marriage and for the best part they have been taking each day as it comes. They may be living under the same roof, but they barely see each other and right now are like passing ships.

“When they’re not working, Danny is out on his motorbike or exercising in the gym, and Georgia is either on her own or spending time with family and girlfriends.

“They haven’t actually been publicly seen together for six weeks and behind the scenes, their relationship is anything but normal.”

It took Danny an agonising two weeks to issue a public apology to Georgia, who was photographed walking with her husband shortly after the BRITs looking pensive.

Saying he was sorry for all the upset he’d caused, the Love Is Easy star took to Instagram saying: “Hello everyone, sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me.

“I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.”

Georgia, meanwhile, has kept a dignified silence, however there were reports that she issued Danny with an ultimatum before he skips off on tour with McFly.

The Busted vs McFly tour is due to start on September 16 and end on November 8 and includes 33 shows all over the UK and Ireland.

Claiming Georgia is ‘worried’ about Danny being away for so long, a source told Closer magazine: “Georgia is understandably nervous after recent events. She’s worried about what happens when he’s out on the road – but she also knows there’s a chance they can fix things.

“She’s given Danny a clear ultimatum – it’s now or never – and he needs to prove he’s all in.” Hopeful that the couple can still reconcile, they added: “Danny doesn’t want to lose her and there’s still hope.”

The Mirror has contacted Danny’s reps for comment on this article.
