Wetherspoon has kicked off its January Sale today in 600 of its pubs, offering a pint of beer starting at just 99p. The discounted beverages include Worthington’s beer at 99p per pint, Coldwater Creek wine at £2.99 for a 250ml glass, Johnnie Walker Black Label (25ml with a mixer) for £1.99, and Tanqueray gin (25ml with a mixer) also at £1.99.
Moreover, a variety of low-alcohol and alcohol-free drinks are available, such as Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois Alcohol Free, Erdinger Isotonic, Thatchers zero, Koppaberg Alcohol Free, and Gordons 0.0 pink gin, each priced at £1.69. Beck’s Blue and Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa are on sale for 99p each. Discounts are also offered on Wetherspoon food items, including an 11-inch Margherita pizza or a chicken burger with chips for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage.
For those looking for a heartier meal, customers can choose from six jacket potatoes for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic drink, with fillings like tuna mayo, coleslaw, chilli bean non-carne, cheese, baked beans, or roasted vegetables. Additional fillings or a side salad can be added for 99p. New gourmet jacket potatoes are also available for £6.49 with a soft drink and £8.02 with an alcoholic beverage.
The loaded spud is topped with cheese, maple-cured bacon, garlic butter, and sour cream. Vegetarians can enjoy the Mexican spud, loaded with chilli bean non-carne, cheese, guacamole, crushed tortilla chips, sliced chillies, and coriander. Wetherspoon founder and chairman, Tim Martin, stated that the January Sale aligns with the tradition of sales in January and aims to cater to a wide range of preferences with the discounted drinks and food offerings. The sale will be available in 600 pubs from January 2, extending to January 15, with slight variations in prices at the remaining 200 venues.
