In the latest season of “The Traitors,” speculation about the identity of the enigmatic Secret Traitor has been rampant among fans, with various theories circulating on social media. Viewers were promised a revelation in the upcoming episode airing on January 8, but I may have a hunch about the Secret Traitor’s true identity before the big reveal.
During the previous episode on January 3, the mysterious figure in a red cloak made a dramatic entrance at the turret, confronting the main Traitors, Rachel Duffy and Stephen Libby. The question on everyone’s mind is: who is this Secret Traitor?
In my view, the Secret Traitor can only be one individual – Fiona. Here’s why I believe so.
Multiple speculations have emerged regarding the Secret Traitor’s identity and motives. For instance, Ellie explicitly mentioned the term ‘Secret Traitor’ in a candid moment on camera. Meanwhile, some suspect Harriet following a heated exchange with barrister Hugo.
Yet, why am I steadfast in my belief that Fiona is the Secret Traitor?
There’s a subtle pattern I’ve noticed in Fiona’s behavior that sets her apart from the other contestants – she skillfully stirs up conflict while deflecting blame onto others.
A pivotal moment was when Ben’s remarks about Ross were brought to light. Fiona, after Ben’s demise, conveniently claimed to have forgotten the specifics and redirected the attention to Jessie to recount the details, cleverly avoiding direct association.
Furthermore, Fiona cast suspicion on Hugo and Rachel by highlighting changes in their demeanor, insinuating they were Traitors. However, she craftily shifted the focus onto Amanda, implying she was merely following directions from someone else.
At the roundtable discussion, Amanda’s revelation about Fiona seeking advice portrayed a strategic move to evade accountability by implicating others. This tactic seemed effective, as Hugo redirected his suspicions towards Amanda, deflecting attention from Fiona.
Notably, the most successful Traitors are adept at manipulating situations to avoid direct scrutiny, a strategy Fiona appears to be employing.
In a candid moment, Fiona, a 62-year-old local government officer from Swansea, confessed to portraying a deceptive persona of innocence. These actions, coupled with her calculated maneuvers, strongly indicate that Fiona is indeed the elusive Secret Traitor.
While my deductions point towards Fiona, the truth will only be unveiled in the upcoming episode. Until then, the mystery remains unsolved.
