The company managing Revolution bars has announced a deadline for bids next week as it seeks a buyer. The Revel Collective, which operates 62 venues under various brands, initiated the sale process in October 2025 due to declining sales. Potential bidders are required to submit offers by January 9, with FTI Consulting overseeing the sale procedure.
Neos Hospitality has shown interest in acquiring some of The Revel Collective sites, although their bid status remains uncertain. The company was formerly known as Revolution Bars and rebranded in 2024. Previous attempts to sell the business were made in April 2024 but were halted after rejecting an offer from Nightcap.
The company faced challenges in 2025 due to economic conditions and government interventions impacting its revenue. Revenue dropped by 7.4% to £26.3 million in the three months leading to September, primarily driven by a 10.5% decline in bar sales. Rising debts and cost-of-living pressures on younger customers further added to the company’s financial woes.
Luke Johnson, the ex-Pizza Express executive, assumed the role of chairman at The Revel Collective in September. He expressed interest in acquiring companies with unique characteristics that could lead in the market. The company is actively seeking a buyer to navigate its current financial difficulties.
