Freeview users are advised to promptly review their settings and perform a retuning procedure following the recent update rollout by the popular UK TV platform. This update introduces various changes to the channel lineup and TV guide. Freeview has announced that certain broadcasters are implementing adjustments this week, necessitating a retune to ensure channels and the TV guide remain current.

The update includes four notable changes. Firstly, three channels have been rebranded with new names for easier identification in the TV guide. That’s TV 3 (Channel 71) is now known as That’s 20th Century, offering music from past decades and beloved shows like Yes, Minister, In Sickness and in Health, and The Saint. Additionally, That’s TV 3 MCR (Channel 86) has been renamed That’s 20th Century MCR, and That’s Classics MCR (Channel 93) is now simply That’s Classics.

Moreover, a new channel labeled That’s Entertainment is set to debut on Channel 75. While specific program details are not widely available yet, more information is expected to be released soon.

Freeview emphasizes that such updates are part of ongoing adjustments by broadcasters to ensure diverse and current content offerings. Users with Freeview should notice these changes reflected in their TV planner. If not, a retune is recommended by following these steps:

1. Press the menu button on your remote.
2. Navigate to settings, installation, or a similar option.
3. Enter your PIN if prompted (commonly 1234 or 0000).
4. Select “first-time installation,” “factory reset,” or “full retune.”
5. Confirm the deletion of existing channels.
6. Your device will automatically search for and store the updated channels.

Although Freeview updates occur regularly, this recent update is significant, underscoring the importance of retuning without delay to ensure seamless viewing experience.
