Starbucks giving away free reusable Snoopy cups this week – how to claim

Published:

Starbucks is giving away free reusable cups to customers this week. This Thursday and Friday Starbucks Rewards members can claim the free limited-edition reusable cup when they order any grande-sized iced beverage.

This year’s “extra special” design features Joe Kind Snoopy – which is the bespoke character from the Starbucks x Peanut collaboration. The collaboration sees a new Frappuccino flavour added to the Starbucks menu and a new merchandise range.

The drink features a mix of mocha sauce, vanilla flavour syrup, and chocolate chips, blended with oat mylk and topped with whipped cream and a Joe Kind Snoopy white chocolate topper. For a tall size, this drink will set you back £5.45.

Sadly, Frappuccinos and other blended drinks are not eligible for the free giveaway, but other things, such as the coffee chain’s iced pistachio latte and its peach iced tea, are included. Prices do vary across the country but on average a grande-sized iced americano will set you back £4.75 and an iced caffè latte costs around £5.25.

To get the freebie, you will need to swipe your points card or app at the till. Your order will then be served to you in the reusable cup.

If you continue to reuse your cup going forward, you get 25p off every Starbucks drink you buy. Starbucks Rewards members also collect “Stars” when they buy drinks with every £1 spent, 10 stars are earned.

You need 130 stars to get a free filter coffee, hot tea or signature americano. You’ll need 300 to bag yourself a free bakery item, and 500 for a handcrafted drink. Those who are not yet Starbucks Rewards members will need to sign up by downloading the app.

The high street coffee chain has warned that there is a limited supply so if you want one you’ll have to be quick. Starbucks launched a similar offer last year, and the reusable cup sold out incredibly quickly. The deal is available at over 1,000 Starbucks stores and drive-thrus, as well as through click-and-collect. However, the offer is not valid on orders made through Starbucks Delivers.

It is also important to note that not all Starbucks stores will be offering the deal this Thursday and Friday. These are mainly sites located in airports and train stations, although the offer is not available in Northern Irish sites.

The coffee chain’s website shares a full list of the sites that are not participating. We have also included the full list below. You can find your nearest Starbucks branch using the store locator on its website. Visit its store locator tool here.
