Conor Benn names exact shot he believes will KO Chris Eubank Jr

Conor Benn has vowed to knock long-time rival Chris Eubank Jr out with a right hand in their blockbuster dust-up this weekend.

The two stars are due to finally meet on Saturday night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. Since the bout was confirmed earlier this year, the pair have traded barbs on multiple occasions online. Eubank Jr grabbed the headlines at the launch press conference in February after slapping Benn in the face with an egg.

Benn is set to move up two weight classes for the dust-up – which is scheduled to take place at middleweight. Despite facing a naturally bigger opponent in Eubank Jr, ‘The Destroyer’ is confident he can shock the world and pick up the biggest win of his career in North London.

The 28-year-old is that optimistic ahead of fight night that he’s even mapped out exactly how he’s going to brutally topple his bitter rival. As both men enter the final stages of their respective training camps, the time for talking is almost done. However, Benn was quick to send one final chilling warning to his foe.

In an interview with Ring Magazine, the 28-year-old has detailed how he’ll win on Saturday. “My game plan is to go in there, hop, skip, right hand to the temple and left hook to the body. Good night Chris,” he said.

His confidence is clearly on display ahead of fight night as the Brit also recently insisted Eubank Jr will have to retire should he lose their blockbuster grudge match. In an interview with Sky Sports, he said: “When he losses, he has to retire. I don’t understand why at this stage of his career why he chooses to fight a welterweight over a world title.”

The British boxing star added: “I can drop back down and go and get my world title, no problem. I’ll go fight for the WBC title, the WBA, WBO, I think I’m top ranked, top five in almost every governing body. But for him, he’s chasing one thing and that’s the difference between me and him.” Following on from his stunning comments, when asked could he live with losing to Eubank Jr, Benn confidently replied: “No, I couldn’t. I’ve not lost. I’m undefeated. He will not be my first loss. That man I refuse to lose to.”

Regarding his feelings towards Eubank Jr, ‘The Destroyer’ said: “I don’t like Chris, I think he’s an idiot!” He added: “I hate what he stands for. I hate who he is as a man. What he’s chasing. Just him as a man, personally, for reasons that aren’t public… personal reasons between me and Chris that he’s fully aware of as to why I completely dislike him.”
