Chris Hughes hit out at Celebrity Big Brother fans after he was booed during the live eviction on Tuesday night. The housemates gathered last night as hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best announced the three celebrities being evicted in the shock triple Tuesday evictions, which saw Ella Rae Wise, Patsy Palmer and Angellica Bell exit the house.
While waiting for the announcements, the housemates heard the ITV audience repeatedly chant, “Get Chris out!” The Love Island star was also most nominated but was safe this time around. After the eliminations were over, Chris was heard on the live stream slamming the audience members for chanting.
Chris and Jack P Shepherd were sitting up in bed when Jack asked: “The ‘get Chris out’… What could that be for?” Chris was convinced it was only ‘one guy’ chanting, replying: “It could be anything, they might just love Danny. Can’t worry about them, they are literally ****.”
“They come to the set, right, when they could be watching on TV and they come and stand in the cold. They’re the *** ones. They’re like football fans.”
Jack urged Chris not to worry about those who chanted from the audience but he added another expletive before lying down in bed.
Coronation Street star Jack said the chanting made the show feel more real, and Chris was adamant it would only feel ‘more real’ if “you let it affect you”.
“If you can actually analyse situations…” he said, seemingly trying to also convince himself everything was okay. Jack egged him on as he added: “To be fair, there wasn’t that many boos for Ella.”
One fan shared the clip to TikTok and said they found the moment “very interesting”. Others rushed to the comment section to hit out at Chris.
“He is very bothered! Jack or Danny to win,” one user said and another posted: “Bad move to mock the fans.”
One user defended him and wrote: “Don’t get where the hate is coming from towards Chris. It’s actually quite confusing. I think he’s quite genuine and a nice guy.”
Meanwhile, after Angellica left the house, she spoke up about JoJo Siwa and seemingly made a savage remark at Chris’ expense when she commented on JoJo’s allegiances with others.
Sharing who she’d like to win, she said: “I would like to see JoJo win. I think she’s been the most open within herself. I’m talking about JoJo as an entity, not with any allegiances with anyone else.”
