‘I was caught cheating on husband so I took him to Las Vegas – it was one week of hell’

Celebrity couples chasing fun in the sun after a breakup is nothing new – with Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury and Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne being the most recent examples.

But one controversial influencer, nicknamed ‘Britain’s most hated woman’, knows from bitter experience that they are not always a good idea. Carla Bellucci, now happily married, has four children and when she is not sunning herself overseas she lives a luxurious life in Hitchin, Herts.

But unbeknown to many, the 42-year-old was married once before, having tied the knot as a rebellious 19-year-old. But things turned sour after she was caught cheating, before a trip to Las Vegas was proposed to fix the marriage.

Reflecting on getting married so young, she told The Mirror: “I just thought it would be a laugh, the right thing to do. A lot of my friends were settled so I copied.”

However, her partner was left devastated when he discovered inappropriate text messages on her phone, sent to her now husband, Giovanni Pincay.

Asked if she regretted it, the outspoken mum said: “None at all. I always say people don’t cheat for no reason and my marriage was dead before it started. It was wrong from the start. We had nothing in common and it was one big bag of s*** from the start to the end.”

However, determined to keep whatever flame was left burning, her first husband suggested a make or break holiday to Vegas.

Carla, being young, admitted that she “went along” with it because she had never been to Sin City before, despite having certainly sinned. However, she stressed that she “tried to leave” several times and that her partner was desperate to turn things around with a once in a lifetime trip.

But as you can imagine, it was a disaster, and Carla explained: “It was awful and we argued 24/7. All I did was chat to Gio on Skype. He was fuming, we knew it was over, meals were in silence and it was sad because we were in one of the most beautiful cities and all we did was fight. I remember thinking, ‘I wish I was with anyone but you.’”

Carla, who would go on to be a single mum before eventually getting into a full-time relationship with Gio, said the trip cost her around £5,000, describing it as a “waste of money” and that the “week of hell” was her “biggest mistake ever”.

Now, giving advice to other couples who are considering rekindling the romance with a picturesque trip abroad, she said: “I believe when a relationship is over it is done.

“There is no such thing as a make or break holiday. If anything you are even more doomed to go away together as it’s hell because you both know it is done and it is always because one wants to go on and that doesn’t work.

“I would say save your money and accept it is over. It is sad – but that is life.”
