Netflix’s Cheat: Unfinished Business reunites Love Island exes as fans spot familiar faces

Published:

A former couple who met on Love Island are among those who will appear on Cheat: Unfinished Business, which is due to launch on Netflix next week. The new reality TV show will follow exes who have been “torn apart due to cheating”.

It’s been announced that sun, scandal and second chances collide in the upcoming show – hosted by Amanda Holden – in which “former cheaters reconnect with their exes”. The eight former couples are said to confront each other at a retreat, with the help of relationship coach Paul C Brunson.

A trailer for Cheat: Unfinished Business has been released today ahead of the show’s launch on the streaming platform in a week. It features Love Island stars Rebecca Gormley, 27, and Biggs Chris, 32, who are among the participants.

Rebecca and Biggs were on the sixth series of Love Island, which launched in January 2020, together. Although the pair weren’t coupled-up whilst on the ITV2 show, they began a romance after being dumped from the villa that February.

Weeks into the romance, it was reported that Rebecca had stayed at former islander Michael Griffiths‘ house following a night out. As reported at the time, it was however assured that nothing happened between them and that she had fallen asleep on the sofa after Biggs left the night out early.

Biggs told the Sun at the time: “I wouldn’t have done that to her but I do believe nothing happened.” Rebecca later told FUBAR Radio that it was “blown out of proportion” but said: “If the shoe was on the other foot I would get how he feels [though]. I get it.”

Later that year, Biggs was said to have apologised to her following claims that he was faking the relationship at one point. They however teased over the prospect of getting married and having children together whilst together.

Rebecca then announced in August 2021 that they were no longer together. She suggested at the time that it was the “best thing” for them and Biggs later told the Sun that the pair had separated because they wanted “different things”.

Then, the following year in 2022, in an interview on Stand Out TV, Biggs suggested that he had cheated in all of his past relationships. He suggested that he had made “drunken mistakes” but assured that that was “in the past though”.

It’s yet to be revealed what happened between Rebecca and Biggs but it’s teased that they have ‘unfinished business’ with them appearing in Cheat: Unfinished Business. The new show is set to launch on Netflix next Wednesday morning.

In the trailer for Cheat: Unfinished Business, host Amanda says: “Cheating is one of the most heartbreaking betrayals of trust.” She’s later heard teasing that the eight former couples will reunite at a relationship retreat, guided by Paul.

Netflix has said that the exes will ultimately make a decision on whether to “say goodbye to their relationship forever” through the show. It has teased: “As they reunite at a retreat, each pair will be guided through their issues by [Paul], in the hopes that they can face up to their past mistakes, rebuild trust and move forward – either together or apart.”

Cheat: Unfinished Business launches next Wednesday on Netflix.
