Violence Reduction Units are actively engaging with families and schools to steer young individuals away from criminal activities, while initiatives like the Young Futures Panel are intervening early to safeguard at-risk youth.
Legislative changes, such as Ronan’s Law, have enhanced penalties for offenders and protections for victims, sending a clear message against knife crime. Additional measures like stricter age verification checks for online knife sales and proposed licensing schemes aim to curtail illicit knife transactions.
