The Daisy Chain Fields charity festival, organized by pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo, emulates the pioneering Lilith Fair from the 1990s with its female-dominated lineup. The festival featured a mix of emerging and established artists, including queer pop star Chappell Roan, rapper Doechii, and iconic punk and rock bands like Bikini Kill and Garbage.
Before the festival kicked off on Saturday, Rodrigo revealed that they had raised $10 million for the event’s 10 nonprofit partners, such as Planned Parenthood and the National Institute for Reproductive Health. This donation was matched by Melinda French Gates, doubling the fundraising total to $20 million.
Rodrigo initially announced the festival in June, promising that performers would participate for free, with all proceeds going to organizations supporting women’s causes.
