It stresses the importance of US diplomatic efforts to enhance strategic stability across Eurasia and reduce the risk of conflicts between Russia and European countries.
The US government aims to assist Europe in correcting its current trajectory to prevent dominance by external adversaries. It expresses a commitment to collaborating with like-minded nations to restore their former prominence and reinforce their shared values and interests.
The strategy document also raises concerns about Europe’s declining birth rates and the erosion of national identities and self-assurance. It advocates for Europe to maintain its cultural heritage, regain its confidence, and move away from excessive regulatory measures.
