The campaign and White House of the U.S. President, Donald Trump, have eliminated certain Taylor Swift songs from their social media videos. These videos had utilized two of Swift’s tracks in the past week. Neither the White House nor a representative for Swift have responded to requests for comments yet.

Although Swift has not recently addressed Trump directly, she did endorse his Democratic opponent, then Vice-President Kamala Harris, in 2024. During the 2020 campaign, Swift made it clear on social media that she did not want Trump as the president.

Trump has been vocal in his criticism of Swift. Following her endorsement of Harris, Trump expressed his dislike for Swift in multiple social media posts. Other artists, such as Sabrina Carpenter and Ariana Grande, have also urged the Trump administration not to use their music.

The Trump campaign featured two Swift songs on its TikTok page in the past week. One video referenced famous Swift songs with a caption like “Red (Donald Trump’s Version).” This marks the third instance in recent months where Trump’s campaign or administration has used Swift’s music for promotional content.

In various videos, the Trump administration incorporated Swift’s songs, including “Toy Story 5” and “High Infidelity.” These videos featured Trump interacting with children, attending a UFC match, and appearing at rallies. The use of Swift’s music has sparked social media reactions, with a White House spokesperson explaining that the videos were strategically crafted to garner attention from news outlets.

Trump’s communication team, known for its active presence on social media, has integrated popular songs into content related to immigration policies, military actions, and international affairs.
