A woman, identified as Kira Cousins, allegedly pretended to have a baby, going as far as using her friend’s infant photos on social media and giving the child a different name. This act reportedly upset the real mother of the child.
The woman, referred to as Laura for privacy reasons, expressed shock and concern over the situation, stating that she has been anxious about her child’s safety since the incident. The deception came to light after Kira Cousins faked a pregnancy, creating a lifelike doll and using advanced technology to mislead her family.
Naming the doll Bonnie-Leigh Joyce, Ms. Cousins eventually confessed to the fabrication, apologizing for the elaborate hoax on social media. Despite this revelation, her friend, who knew her from school, criticized her decision to profit from the story by agreeing to a TV production deal.
Laura, the real mother of the child in the photos, expressed skepticism about Kira’s intentions and disapproved of the documentary being made. While it remains uncertain if Kira will financially benefit from the TV program, she had initially stated her lack of interest in participating in any film or documentary related to the incident.
Two Rivers Media, the production company involved, emphasized their commitment to handling the story sensitively and showcasing authentic human experiences. The Mirror has attempted to reach out to Kira Cousins for her comments on the matter.
