Currently, Apple is hosting its annual WWDC Developers Conference at its headquarters in Cupertino, California, with a range of updates for its products, including the iPhone. The upcoming features set to launch later this year will enhance customization, improve parental controls, expedite app launching, and refine the Siri assistant. This release is anticipated to be significant, particularly benefiting users with devices compatible with Apple Intelligence.
Initially introduced in 2024, Apple Intelligence faced challenges with several promised features not coming to fruition. However, the tech giant from the US has diligently worked to enhance this smart service, now prepared to introduce the improvements to the general public.
Upon its release in September, Apple Intelligence aims to simplify life by assisting in calendar organization and offering contextual one-tap suggestions based on users’ conversations in Messages. For instance, if a user receives a message requesting “photos of mum,” Apple Intelligence will promptly display relevant images from their photo library.
Notable changes are also seen in Safari browsers, such as the introduction of Notify Me. This feature enables users to instruct Safari to monitor web pages for changes like product restocks or price adjustments, ensuring they are informed about updates of interest. Additionally, Safari now includes tabs that automatically arrange themselves by topic.
One of the standout features is the enhancement in photos. The revamped Apple Intelligence excels in retouching images, removing unwanted elements, extending backgrounds without requiring Photoshop skills, and introducing Spatial Reframing. This feature allows adjustments to the composition post-photo capture, eliminating the need to settle for slightly off-center shots.
Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering, emphasized the company’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology to create user-friendly products. He highlighted the importance of integrating truly helpful AI tailored to users’ needs while prioritizing privacy at every stage in the development of Apple Intelligence.
The improved Apple Intelligence is set to launch with iOS 27 this fall, available on various iPhone models, including the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16 range, iPhone 17 models, and the iPhone Air.
