An incident involving a knife attack has left an eight-year-old child critically injured and three others seriously hurt, prompting a large-scale police search. The child sustained numerous cuts and stab wounds to the body and head, with the severity of the injuries still posing a potential threat to life, as per reports from wa.de.
Authorities have shared images of a 20-year-old man they wish to locate in connection with the attack, which also resulted in severe injuries to the children’s mother. The Dortmund public prosecutor’s office has urged the public not to approach the individual but to contact the police immediately if spotted, warning of the possibility that he may be armed.
The violent incident occurred in an apartment on Zentrumstraße in Bergkamen-Weddinghofen, near Dortmund, where a 26-year-old woman and her four children, aged between three and eight, were harmed by stab wounds and cuts. The suspect, identified by the police, fled the scene following the attack.
Described as tall, slim, and wearing dark attire with a white hat, glasses, and a stubble, the suspect’s whereabouts remain unknown.
