Fashion retailer Quiz has gone into administration, resulting in the loss of 109 jobs. The redundancies are affecting the head office in Glasgow and the warehouse in Lanarkshire. The Quiz website is no longer accessible, and customers are being informed that undelivered online orders will be canceled.

The company is not providing refunds directly but is advising customers to contact their bank or credit card provider for reimbursement. Consumers who made purchases over £100 using a credit card may be eligible for a refund under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. For transactions made with a debit card or credit card for amounts under £100, customers could explore the Chargeback option within 120 days of purchase.

Quiz is suggesting customers exchange unwanted items at physical stores for products of equal value. The online store has been shut down, and customers are directed to stores for any exchanges or replacements.

While Quiz stores are still operational, the retailer is conducting clearance sales across its branches. However, gift cards are no longer being accepted. Quiz operates 40 stores in the UK, with concessions in New Look and Matalan stores. The concessions within New Look and Matalan stores are not part of the administration process.

The company has seven concessions in the Republic of Ireland, which are included in the administration. Quiz, founded in 1993 in Glasgow by Tarak Ramzan, employs a total of 565 workers. This is the second time Quiz has faced administration in a year, as it previously collapsed in February 2025 before being acquired in a pre-pack deal.

Alistair McAlinden and Geoff Jacobs from Interpath have been appointed as joint administrators. McAlinden stated that they intend to keep trading all stores and Irish concessions while assessing business options. Jacobs urged interested parties to contact them regarding the acquisition of Quiz’s assets.

Efforts are being made to support impacted employees during this challenging period.
