Police rushed to the Tower of London this morning following reports of damage to a display case housing the crown jewels. According to a protest group, individuals tossed crumble and custard at the case. Four individuals have been apprehended in connection with the incident prior to 10 am today, leading to the closure of the Jewel House for a police inquiry.

The Metropolitan Police disclosed that four arrests were made for vandalizing a display case containing the State Crown. The authorities were informed that four demonstrators threw food at the case before two of them departed the scene.

A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police stated that four protestors were taken into custody for causing criminal damage at the Tower of London. The police received a call at 09:48 hours on Saturday, December 6, reporting the damage to the display case housing the State Crown.

“It was reported that four protesters threw suspected food at the case before two individuals left the location. Working in collaboration with City of London Police and security personnel, officers apprehended four suspects on suspicion of criminal damage, who were subsequently detained. The Tower remains closed to the public as the police investigation progresses.”

The protest group Take Back Power, self-described as a “non-violent civil-resistance organization,” asserted that they “covered the crown jewels in dessert.” They posted an image showing two individuals holding a banner with the message: “Democracy has crumbled – tax the rich.”
