Russia’s Defense Ministry announced on Sunday that they will increase their strikes on targets in Kyiv and other parts of Ukraine in response to recent statements made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The ministry stated that Russian forces would escalate attacks on military installations, defense industry facilities, and associated infrastructure in Kyiv and various regions of Ukraine.
Zelenskyy revealed in an interview with Reuters that Ukraine plans to retaliate by targeting Russian oil refineries following Moscow’s implementation of a new airstrike strategy aimed at pressuring residents to evacuate Kyiv and other urban centers. However, Zelenskyy emphasized that civilians would not be the focus of these actions.
Meanwhile, in Russia’s Krasnodar region, a fire erupted at an industrial site in the Temryuk district after debris from a drone strike hit the area, as reported by regional authorities on Sunday. Three individuals sustained injuries and were undergoing medical treatment, with emergency response teams actively engaged at the incident site.
