A well-known online beauty retailer is considering a potential sale as advisors have been engaged to assess the company’s operations. Beauty Bay, established in 1999 by siblings Arron and David Gabbie and headquartered in Manchester, offers a variety of products from over 200 brands like Ariana Grande, Clinique, and MAC, in addition to its own product line.

According to a recent report by Sky News, Beauty Bay is exploring different avenues to secure new funding, including the possibility of selling the business outright. Interpath, an advisory firm, is said to be collaborating with Beauty Bay on this endeavor. The company currently has 65 employees, and inquiries have been made to Beauty Bay for their input.

In other news, Malin + Goetz, a beauty brand, has recently gone into administration, leading to the closure of its seven stores in London. This development will impact more than 70 jobs, with online orders temporarily halted. Customers can still purchase Malin + Goetz items through third-party retailers such as Liberty, John Lewis, and Space NK.

Malin+Goetz stated that after a comprehensive evaluation, they have made the difficult decision to place their UK business in administration, resulting in store closures and job losses. The company, founded in New York in 2004 by Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz, initially offered six products catering to all skin types and has since expanded into various beauty categories.

It has been mentioned that Malin + Goetz’s website will resume operations after a brief maintenance period, although the exact duration is unknown.
