Ottawa has been selected as the host city for the upcoming Northern Super League championship game scheduled for November 14. The decisive match, known as the Diana B. Matheson Cup, will take place at TD Place. Leading up to the championship game, the playoffs will unfold over a two-week period, with the detailed schedule set to be revealed in the near future.

The Diana B. Matheson Cup, named after the renowned Canadian soccer player and NSL co-founder, symbolizes the league champion and underscores the ongoing advancement of professional women’s soccer in Canada. Ottawa Rapid FC, with a record of 10 wins, 2 losses, and 3 draws, currently holds the top position in the NSL standings.

Last season, Vancouver Rise FC emerged victorious in the league’s inaugural year by clinching the championship title.
