A 91-year-old mathematical genius has shared his strategy for winning the lottery an astonishing 14 times. Stefan Mandel, originally from Romania, utilized mathematical probabilities and patterns to repeatedly hit the jackpot.

While the odds of winning the lottery are typically considered very slim due to the element of chance in selecting winning numbers, Mandel’s unique approach involved meticulous research and the application of mathematical principles. Despite facing financial challenges earlier in his life, he devoted his free time to studying the Fibonacci sequence, eventually leading him to identify patterns in lottery draws that others overlooked.

By developing a method he termed “combinatorial condensation” along with a sophisticated number selection algorithm, Mandel was able to predict a significant portion of the winning numbers, drastically reducing the number of potential combinations and increasing his chances of success.

Teaming up with a friend in 1965, Mandel’s first application of his strategy resulted in a substantial win, prompting him to establish a lottery investment company in Australia. Over the years, he expanded his operations to the United States, where he capitalized on the loopholes in the lottery system to secure multiple jackpots.

His most notable success came in 1992 in Virginia, where he orchestrated a massive ticket purchase with a group of investors, ultimately winning the jackpot and additional prizes totaling $33 million from a $9 million investment. Mandel’s triumph attracted widespread attention and scrutiny but was found to be within legal bounds by authorities.

Following regulatory changes in lottery systems worldwide in response to his tactics, Mandel’s winning streak came to an end. Despite attempts to replicate his success in other countries, tighter regulations thwarted his efforts, leading him to retire to Vanuatu, where he faced legal challenges related to property development ventures.

As detailed in The Independent, Mandel’s formula for lottery success involved a six-step strategy that allowed him to capitalize on mathematical principles to amass considerable wealth through strategic lottery investments.
