Some Sky customers are facing a frustrating issue with the popular ITVX app. Reports of glitches disrupting viewing experience emerged last week, with users reporting episodes randomly skipping to the end without manual intervention. This sudden jump to credits has left viewers perplexed.
On Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky shared, “ITV Player randomly skips ahead, usually right to the end of the episode and is making it quite difficult tbh… this has been happening for the last 4 or 5 days.” Another user, Dawn, also complained about similar experiences, noting the interruptions occur during the beginning or after ad breaks of ITVX programs.
The problem seems to primarily impact users with Sky’s online devices such as Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it’s uncertain if Sky Q users are affected, most complaints stem from broadband-powered devices rather than satellite connections.
The cause of these disruptions remains unknown, but a Sky representative named Kev has acknowledged the issue. Kev assured users that the company is collaborating with ITV to address and resolve the problem promptly.
Despite the current inconvenience, users may need to endure the skipping episodes temporarily as the teams work on a fix. Mirror Online will provide updates on the situation as soon as new information becomes available.
