During the search for a missing teenager on Christmas Eve, a body was discovered by authorities in San Antonio, Texas. The teenager, identified as Camila Mendoza Olmos, 19, had gone missing last week, prompting concerns and a search effort by the police. Although the body found has not been confirmed to be Camila’s, her family has been notified. Police mentioned that while foul play is not suspected, there are indications that the body might be a result of self-harm.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar stated that the discovered body appears to be that of a young person facing emotional challenges. The medical examiner will provide official confirmation of the identity and cause of death. Earlier, authorities released dashcam footage showing Camila walking before her disappearance, wearing identifiable clothing.

Camila was last seen wearing a sky blue and black hoodie, pale blue pajama bottoms, and white shoes. Following her disappearance, various agencies, including the FBI and Department of Homeland Security, assisted in the search. Police had expressed concerns about Camila’s safety due to recent personal issues and did not rule out potential dangers.

Security footage from Camila’s family showed her searching her car on Christmas Eve morning before leaving on foot with only her car keys and possibly her driver’s license. Investigators are exploring multiple possibilities, including kidnapping, human trafficking, or voluntary departure. Camila’s family is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
