A police officer injured during the recent incident at Bondi Beach may face partial loss of vision in one eye, as per latest updates. Probationary Constable Jack Hibbert is currently hospitalized following surgery on his shoulder and eye. He, along with Senior Constable Scott Dyson, sustained injuries while intervening in a tragic event linked to a shooting reportedly carried out by Sajid Akram, 50, and his son Naveed, 24, during a Hanukkah celebration on Sunday night. Senior Constable Dyson is also receiving medical care, with his condition being described as serious but stable by news.com.au. The unfortunate incident resulted in the loss of 16 lives, including the assailant and a 10-year-old girl, while 22 individuals, including the two officers, are still under medical supervision. Among those hospitalized, nine are reported to be in critical condition.

According to the latest information from New South Wales Health, as of 8 pm local time on Tuesday, the situation remains under monitoring and care.
