Kevin Sinfield is drawing inspiration for his extraordinary ultramarathon challenge from a courageous schoolboy who tragically succumbed to motor neurone disease. During his remarkable seven-day fundraiser, the rugby league icon faced an emotional moment when meeting the family of Kyle Sieniawski, the youngest victim of the disease at just 14 years old.

As Sinfield exceeded his fundraising target of £777,777.777 with two days left in the challenge, he reflected on the immense support he received, noting that the most challenging moments were interacting with families affected by MND. The Mirror accompanied Sinfield as he surpassed the £800,000 mark, highlighting his total charity contributions exceeding £10 million.

Sinfield, a father of two, initiated this annual challenge in 2020, vowing to continue it for a seventh year in honor of his late friend Rob Burrow. Addressing supporters at Cumbria Sports Academy, Sinfield emphasized the importance of ongoing support and dedication to the cause. He emphasized the pivotal role his family plays in enabling his charitable endeavors.
