Tiger Woods’ former spouse, Elin Nordegren, has expressed worries about his well-being following his recent arrest on suspicion of driving while impaired. The renowned American golf icon was detained and brought to a police station after his Land Rover overturned in Florida on a Friday afternoon.
The 50-year-old has been released on bail after facing charges of property damage and refusing to undergo a lawful test. Although no injuries were reported from the accident, Woods had to exit the vehicle through the passenger door when it flipped onto its side.
According to Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek, the 15-time Major champion exhibited signs of impairment and declined to provide a urine sample. Reports suggest that Woods received criticism from his partner, Vanessa Trump, and his ex-wife Nordegren is also concerned due to his repeated driving incidents.
A source revealed, “The children share a close bond with Tiger, so naturally, Elin is worried. She wishes for his well-being, especially considering his recent car crash and arrest.” Woods had a prior crash in 2009 involving sleeping pills and a DUI charge in 2017 attributed to an unexpected reaction to prescribed medication.
In 2021, Woods survived a severe crash near Los Angeles, reaching speeds over 80mph, resulting in significant leg and ankle injuries. Woods and Swedish model Nordegren, who share two children, divorced in 2010.
