Before her tragic death, a woman was captured on video emotionally singing Lewis Capaldi’s “Forget Me” on Instagram. The woman, identified as Stefanie Pieper, a renowned makeup artist, shared this poignant clip with her followers, adding an eerie layer to the video given the events that followed.

In the footage from 2023, Stefanie poured her heart out while mouthing the lyrics: “Cause I’m not ready, to find out you know how to forget me. I’d rather hear how much you regret me, and pray to God that you never met me, than forget me.”

Stefanie vanished mysteriously after a night out on November 23. Her lifeless body was found on November 28, with an autopsy revealing signs of violence prior to her demise.

Concern arose when Stefanie missed a scheduled photoshoot. Failing to reach her by phone, a worried photographer visited her residence in Austria, only to be met by her intermittent boyfriend, Peter M., a 31-year-old individual described locally as a part-time nightclub security personnel and unsuccessful poker player. Despite granting access to the apartment, doubts persisted.

Authorities were alerted, and investigations revealed unsettling accounts from neighbors who reported hearing disturbances from Stefanie’s residence in Graz, Austria, on the day she went missing. Stefanie’s phone was discovered in a nearby bush, containing chilling final messages.

In one of her last messages via Whatsapp, Stefanie expressed fear of a suspicious individual in the stairwell on the early hours of November 23, describing a menacing figure she encountered after returning home from walking her Golden Retriever, Marlow. Her concerns were followed by silence.

Following his extradition from Slovenia to Graz, Austria, Stefanie’s ex-boyfriend reportedly admitted to the crime and cooperated with authorities, leading to the discovery of her body buried in a forest after a heated argument post a Christmas party.

A search in Slovenia, based on the ex-boyfriend’s information, eventually unveiled Stefanie’s remains concealed in a suitcase. During the inquiry, two of the suspect’s family members were briefly detained due to potential ties to the case but were later released following the suspect’s confession and the recovery of Stefanie’s body, as per the police report on November 30.

Having amassed over 42,000 followers on Instagram, Stefanie’s account has now become a platform for grieving fans to pay their respects. Messages of condolence and tributes flooded her page, with one follower expressing deep sympathy for her family and loved ones, while others mourned the loss of a beautiful soul.
