A football club in Sydney has honored a player who lost his life in the tragic Bondi Beach shooting incident. The attack, deemed a terrorist act by the police, resulted in the death of 16 individuals, including the gunman, with 40 others sustaining injuries. During a Jewish festival at Bondi Beach, gunmen carried out the assault, which claimed the lives of a well-loved British Rabbi and a 10-year-old girl.

Authorities have confirmed the death of a 50-year-old gunman and the discovery of explosive devices at the scene believed to be associated with the deceased attacker. Another assailant, identified as Naveed Akram, is in custody after being injured. The police revealed that the attackers were a father and son duo.

The victims of the terror incident are gradually being identified, with one recent victim recognized as a 27-year-old French national named Dan Elkayam. President Emmanuel Macron confirmed Elkayam’s demise, who was a member of the Premier League One team of Rockdale Ilinden football club based in southern Sydney.

The club expressed their grief on social media, stating, “It is with extreme shock and sadness to discover our Premier League 1 player – Dan Elkayam – was a victim of the horrendous, tragic and senseless events at Bondi Beach.” They praised Elkayam as a talented and beloved teammate, extending their deepest condolences to his family and friends.
